After School Woodland Club

'No matter how old you get, may you always stop to fill your pockets with smooth stones, empty snail shells and other little treasures.' - Nicolette Sowder
Have you got kids that love to be outside? Do your kids spend too much time indoors? Do you love the sound of Forest School? Look no further for you have arrived.
Our weekly afterschool club is full of forest school adventures so come and explore with us. No two weeks will be the same, but here are some of the activities you will be a part of: den building, forest craft, woodland games, forest challenges, food prep, hammock chill time, mini-beast hunting, mud kitchen, camp fire cooking and so much more! There will be a forest school snack, sometimes cooked over a fire and plenty of free time to explore and follow their own interests.
We create a safe and supportive, yet challenging environment that follows the Forest School ethos, encouraging independence and an interest in nature. Our afterschool club is a great way to try make new friends and to feel a buzz from trying something new! Skills are built upon and over time children will develop in resilience, managed risk-taking and hopefully develop a life-long love of the outdoors!

What to wear?
‘There is no such thing as bad weather, only inappropriate clothing!’- Alfred Wainwright
This is an outside club so dress according to the weather…. The key is layers! Layer up in the
autumn/winter and always keep arms and legs covered in spring/summer. Always keep toes
covered and wear trainers/walking boots/wellies with warm socks. As a guide, wear three layers in
autumn, four in winter and don’t forget gloves/waterproofs/hat when needed! Always bring a coat.
Watch this space for our next club!
